TURAIF – A report is expected within a week on accusations that a doctor at Turaif General Hospital failed to diagnose a pregnant woman as in labor resulting in her giving birth in a hospital bathroom.

 

Head of the hospital Madallah Al-Sharari said that Health Affairs Directorate in the Northern Border Province had opened an inquiry Friday in response to an official complaint from the woman’s husband after his seven-months’-pregnant wife had been referred to Turaif General Hospital by a local healthcare center for a revision check-up.

 

Al-Sharari said a doctor at the hospital examined the woman and her unborn child, but during the electrocardiogram test she asked to go to the bathroom where she gave birth. – Okaz/SG
