RIYADH: Health Minister Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah has approved publicizing the names of violators of private health care law in the print media, according to an announcement by the ministry.

The ministry strongly warned in the announcement that private hospitals, polyclinics, pharmacies and any other health care facilities should not break the rules.

"Violators’ names will be advertised in three publications local to them. The expenses of the advertisements will be borne by violators according to clause 3 of Article 5 of the law, in addition to the fines prescribed by the appropriate health care law violation committees at the ministry," the statement added.

Experts say this move has come in the light of increasing violations of private health care laws and the belief among owners of these facilities that the ministry is not watching the health care sector closely.
