Advances in Cancer Research (ACR) has covered a remarkable period of discovery that encompasses the beginning of the revolution in biology. The first ACR volume came out in the year that Watson and Crick reported on the central dogma of biology, the DNA double helix. In the first 100 volumes are found many contributions by some of those who helped shape the revolution and who made many of the remarkable discoveries in cancer research that have developed from it.

Pigment Cell & Melanoma Research is the official journal of the International Federation of Pigment Cell Societies (IFPCS) and the Society for Melanoma Research (SMR). Pigment Cell & Melanoma Research publishes manuscripts on all aspects of pigment cells including development, cell and molecular biology, genetics, diseases of pigment cells including melanoma. Papers that provide insights into the causes and progression of melanoma including the process of metastasis and invasion, proliferation, senescence, apoptosis or gene regulation are especially welcome, as are papers that use the melanocyte system to answer questions of general biological relevance.
Gynecologic Oncology, an international journal, is devoted to the publication of clinical and investigative articles that concern tumors of the female reproductive tract. Cancer Letters is an international journal that considers full-length articles and Mini Reviews in the broad area of basic and translational oncology. Additionally, special Issues highlight topical areas in cancer research. Basic areas of interest to a broad readership of Cancer Letters include the molecular genetics and cell biology of cancer, radiation biology, molecular pathology, hormones and cancer, viral oncology, metastasis, and chemoprevention. The Journal places emphasis on experimental therapeutics, particularly targeted therapies for personalized cancer medicine.
Molecular Cancer promotes the exchange of ideas, concepts and findings in any area of cancer and related biomedical science, from a molecular point of view. Molecular Cancer is interested in articles from basic, translational and clinical research, opening new avenues for the understanding, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: cell and tumor biology, angiogenesis, animal models, metastasis, cancer antigens and the immune response to them, cellular signalling and molecular biology, epidemiology, genetic and molecular profiling of cancer and molecular targets, cancer stem cells, DNA damage and repair, cell cycle, apoptosis, molecular virology and vaccine- and antibody-based cancer therapies.
Cancer Prevention Research is devoted exclusively to cancer prevention. The Journal publishes important original studies, reviews, and perspectives within the major topic areas of biology of premalignancy, risk factors and risk assessment, early detection research, immunoprevention, and chemopreventive and other interventions, including the basic science behind them. Cancer Prevention Research comprises preclinical, clinical and translational research, with special attention given to molecular discoveries and an emphasis on building a translational bridge between the basic and clinical sciences.
Breast Cancer Research and Treatment provides the surgeon, radiotherapist, medical oncologist, endocrinologist, epidemiologist, immunologist or cell biologist investigating problems in breast cancer a single forum for communication. The Journal creates a "market place" for breast cancer topics which cuts across all the usual lines of disciplines, providing a site for presenting pertinent investigations, and for discussing critical questions relevant to the entire field. It seeks to develop a new focus and new perspectives for all those concerned with breast cancer.
Molecular Cancer Research publishes articles describing novel basic cancer research discoveries of broad interest to the field. Studies must be of demonstrated significance, and the journal prioritizes analyses performed at the molecular and cellular level that reveal novel mechanistic insight into pathways and processes linked to cancer risk, development, and/or progression. Areas of emphasis include all cancer-associated pathways (including cell-cycle regulation; cell death; chromatin regulation; DNA damage and repair; gene and RNA regulation; genomics; oncogenes and tumor suppressors; and signal transduction), in addition to studies describing new molecular mechanisms and interactions that support cancer phenotypes.
