JEDDAH – The Health Affairs Directorate on Tuesday launched the mobile dental clinics project in the study and research center at King Fahd General Hospital.
The project, Dr. Sami Badawood, Director of Health Affairs, said offers periodical medical checkup to children and youth suffering from tooth ailments.
The project, he said, is directed primarily at school students and places where large numbers of children are present, such as, shopping malls and recreation and entertainment centers. Areas which are deprived of health services will also be covered, he said.
These mobile dental clinics will considerably reduce the number of cases of tooth decay among primary school children and will create an awareness about the general health of citizens, especially children and mothers.
